There are a number of reasons why you may have decided you want to have counselling.
You may be feeling depressed or anxious with low self-esteem. You may be struggling to make decisions. To adapt to a new situation (loss of job, loss of relationship) you may be struggling to see any glimmer of hope for the future. Maybe difficulties from your past are being stirred up, or you may not know what is wrong, but you just don’t feel right.
These feelings can be lonely. They can occur in any of us at any time. It can be difficult to share with friends or a partner. Talking through your issues with a counsellor can enable you to explore new ways of thinking and feeling, which can lead to greater self awareness and healing for the future.
Taking the first step towards talking to someone about personal or painful feelings can feel overwhelming. You may have to gather the courage to come in the first place.
The initial consultation with me will help you see how it all works; how you feel and help you decide if you would like to continue.
Please feel free to contact me for a consultation.
My fees are from £65 - £85 per hour but I offer concessionary rates to students in training and people on low income.
