The first step is to book an initial session where we can meet each other and discuss what you would like to achieve from therapy. It will give you an idea of how I work and is an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the process.
If you decide you wish to start counselling and we both feel that we can work together then we can arrange a series of sessions. Throughout the work we will be able to think about how things are going and the time frame for ending therapy that is best for you.
Sessions are fifty minutes long and usually held on a weekly basis. Everything that is said within the session is held in strictest confidence and treated with respect and sensitivity.
If for any reason I have to cancel a session, I will provide you with 48 hours notice and you will not be charged for this session. Likewise, I will expect you to give me 48 hours notice if you are unable to attend. I reserve the right to charge for a missed session where no or insufficient notice is given.
My charge is from £65 - £85 per hour and the rate will be negotiable at our first meeting. Payment at the end of the initial session can be made by cash or cheque. Subsequent regular sessions can be paid on a monthly basis, either by cash cheque or electronically. I offer some availability for reduced costs sessions for people on lower incomes or for students.
